Wall Insulation
Wall insulation from Austrotherm is the perfect protection against heat loss and increased energy costs. Below you can find a variety of application possibilities.
Austrotherm EPS® F - Thermal Insulation Board for Façades
The Austrotherm EPS®-F (Thermal Insulation Board for Façades) in combination with a composite thermal insulation system (also full thermal insulation, german abbr. „WDVS“) guarantees the highest quality.

By using the Austrotherm EPS® Insulation Board for Façades the standard of low energy buildings (U-value of 0.15 [W/m2K]) can be reached in construction as well as in reconstruction with the lowest costs.

  • Improvement of heat storage due to composite thermal insulation systems
  • Prevention of thermal bridges
  • No mould or condensation loss by using insulation more than 50 mm thick
  • Nearly any façade form is possible

The silver-grey (PLUS) thermal insulation board for external composite thermal insulation systems

The new silver-grey super insulating material from Austrotherm provides, in comparison to the conventional EPS, a better heat insulation by 15%.

Base Insulation
What is the reason for a special base insulation? While choosing insulation for the part of the façade, which is immediately above the ground, one should consider the following factors:
  • high humidity strain as a consequence of rain, snow and splash water
  • thermal bridges between cellar ceiling joint and outside wall
  • higher pressure load, eg as a consequence of possible mechanical strain by bicycles, small vehicles, ball games, etc.

It is recommended to use the Austrotherm XPS®-P insulation board with embossed surface as it has high compression resistance, repel moisture and is ideal as a plastering base.

Thermal Bridge Insulation
The Austrotherm TOP®/XPS® P thermal bridge insulation is advisable for all the parts of the shell construction where the thermal insulation thickness varies or where different building materials are used.

The Austrotherm TOP®/XPS® P insulation board with embossed surface can also be used as a shuttering. An insulation board with anchorage (dowel or anchor) is only necessary if the tensile bond strength of the concrete surface is not sufficient.

Austrotherm EPS® / XPS® Ceiling Edge Shuttering
Due to the ever increasing demands to the quality of thermal insulation, thermal bridges should not be overlooked. High quality thermal insulation with sufficient solidity can be achieved through the use of the Austrotherm EPS® or XPS® ceiling edge shuttering.

Simply glue the Austrotherm ceiling edge shuttering on the walling and additional shuttering or shoring is not necessary. As soon as the glue has settled concreting can be started.

The advantages of the Austrotherm ceiling edge shuttering are clear:
  • pre-fabricated shutter and insulation element
  • delivered in all common ceiling heights
  • no shuttering work required
  • short mounting time
  • low weight
  • easy handling and workability
  • high stability
  • excellent thermal insulation
  • no thermal bridges

Austrotherm EPS® F - Corner Board for Façades
Corner formation as right angle
Thermal insulation board for external composite thermal insulation system pre-fabricated as a corner piece to fit with façade edges. It is easier to handle thick insulation and full compliance with OENORM standards is guaranteed.

Austrotherm EPS® F - Radius Board for Façades
Thermal insulation board for external composite thermal insulation system e.g. round oriel formations. Almost any bending radius is deliverable.

Austrotherm EPS® F - Angle Board for Façades
Corner formation with variable angle
Thermal insulation board for external composite thermal insulation system eg special oriel formations. The angle board for façades guarantees optimal thermal insulation for the sensitive oriel area.

Austrotherm EPS® F - Reveal Angle for Façades
Thermal insulation board for external composite thermal insulation system, specifically for reveals. The standard thickness of the reveal is 30 mm.

Austrotherm EPS® F - Grooved Board for Façades
Thermal insulation board with horizontal grooves for façade designing.
