Uninsulated ceilings and floors are the major cause of heat loss and of that perhaps familiar feeling, that some rooms never really warm up.
Ceiling insulation
The thermal insulation board Austrotherm EPS® W20-PLUS – developed for thermal insulation under stress – ensures the optimal insulation of floors and ceilings to the soil or to heated and unheated rooms.
It protects, for example, housekeeping or hobby rooms against unnecessary heat loss. It is also recommended for use in unfinished attics.
Noise pollution causes ever greater impact on the environmental. An insulating layer of Austrotherm EPS® T 650-PLUS or Austrotherm EPS® T 1000-PLUS ensures effective sound insulation.
Footfall sound insulation under the parquet can also be made with Austrotherm PE 25 foam sheets. The product offers a simple and dust-free handling and is suitable for dry construction and reconstruction, pre-fabricated houses, flat roofs and moist rooms. Austrotherm PE 25 can be used in combination with floor heating as well as boundary layer between screed and raw soil. Shortly after the construction, it is possible that moisture can flow out of building components causing mould growth. Austrotherm PE 3/200 on one side covered with PE-film and adhesive tape is recommended as vapour seal under parquet and laminated floors.
