Austrotherm is Austria’s renowned and in some fields the sole manufacturer of high quality insulating materials, façade profiles, PE-products and boards for interior works. Since its origins in 1953 it has always been recognised and trusted for its consistent quality and strive for innovation.
Our Locations in Austria
Our Austrian production sites are located in Pinkafeld (EPS, façade profiles, PE-products, wellness-elements) and in Purbach (XPS, UNI panel), both in Burgenland. Our headquarters are in 2754 Wopfing, Lower Austria.
Our International Locations
Austrotherm was one of the first western enterprises to enter Eastern and Middle European markets, and now high quality thermal insulation becomes more and more important in those countries. On this site you can find the contact details of our branches in Eastern European countries.
History
Austrotherm is the Austrian pioneer in the thermal insulation sector. The company was established in 1953 by Oswald Nowotny, and was the first to produce expanded polystyrene goods in Austria. Austrotherm is part of the Schmid-Industrie-Holding; other companies of the Schmid-Industrie-Holding are e.g. Baumit and Murexin.

Group Enterprises
The Austrotherm Group is an important part of the Schmid-Industrie-Holding. The Holding is one of the biggest European groups for building materials, which is entirely privately owned.
